Pet damage may be covered by your basic home insurance if you didn’t know. They are part of the household and if they are specifically included in the contract. This is standard in most parts of the United States where pets are commonplace. If you have a pet that bit a neighbor who fumbled into the yard when he was painting the fence, he simply has to submit the receipts to your insurance company saving you the time of having to take care of the reimbursement process. They file a suit against you and your dog, don’t fret, for that’s covered too. As said, read the contract in depth and try to understand it better so you know what is covered and what is not.
